Riverside, CA: Boy, 14, Struck and Injured by Truck at Weaver Street and Arlington Avenue
Riverside, California (January 25, 2017) – According to the Riverside Police Department, a 14-year-old boy was hospitalized Tuesday morning after he was struck by a vehicle outside a learning center Riverside.
The accident took place at about 10:43 a.m. yesterday at the intersection of Weaver Street and Arlington Avenue, directly in front Arlington Regional Learning Center.
Reportedly, the boy had just stepped out into the road when he was struck by a white pickup truck that was traveling westbound. The boy, who is a student at the learning center, was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The police are investigating the incident.
